Every Breath You Take… You Expand - with Tabatha DeBruyn
In this episode, Ameera explores expansion that feels like ease with transformational coach, author, and educator Tabatha DeBruyn. With nearly three decades in human transformation and certifications spanning transformational coaching, rapid transformational hypnotherapy, Reiki, energy healing, and 9D breathwork - Tabatha shares how breath, energy, and self-concept weave together to regulate the nervous system, align identity with action, and create results without the grind. She opens up about her own passage through functional depression and grief, how somatic and 9D breathwork restored peace and clarity, and simple practices any woman can use to feel lighter, grounded, and magnetic in life, career, and business.
Listen For
- What “aligned” actually feels like in the body: home, peace, truth, versus anxiety, forcing, and ego-driven striving
- Why breath first, then psychology, then action flips the results you get (and builds self-trust and presence)
- The physiological sigh (inhale 60% through the nose + a second sip of air → sigh out) to dump CO₂, shift out of fight/flight, and reset fast
- Nasal vs. mouth breathing: when to use each for calming, focus, sleep, or energizing before a big meeting
- Two core calming rhythms: longer exhale breathing and 4–2–7 (inhale 4, hold 2, exhale 7) for parasympathetic regulation and sleep support
- Micro-rituals for high achievers who “hold their breath” while working and how to notice and change state in seconds
- Kid-friendly regulation you can model at home: “stomp, stomp, blow out the candles,” bedtime breathing, and using the word breath in everyday moments
- Inside 9D breathwork: soundscapes, binaural beats, frequencies, NLP/affirmations + breath to re-pattern and access deeper healing
